Arrive Namur

Our first real view of the old city of Namur seemed to open up through this bridge with the citadel above us on the right, from here on towards France, the views just got better and better.

Arrive Namur

Happy days in the continental sunshine going through yet more fantastic scenery, the city of Namur and the citadel above us to the left.

Arrive in Namur

Lorna helming while we exit the Sambre and turn right up the Meuse. Through the bridge ahead would be the DBA rally in a week’s time.

The city was cleaning up the rubbish and making good the quayside road before the rally started. An early arrival was the barge ‘Esme’ with Chris and Diane. Waterdog is moored at the far end near the park for Tilly.

Tilly looks forlorn as there were no barges or people around yet; she had been promised both but her concept of time is a bit limited, bless her!
